Metal Containers was founded
1977
Opened our second factory in Singapore to expand our production capabilities and product range
1978 - 1979
Set up our first overseas factory in Hong Kong to manufacture both 2-piece and 3-piece cans
1980s
1979-1980
Started our first factory in Malaysia under Industrial Packaging (IP) in Johor to support the Lam Soon Group
1981-1982
MCP Hong Kong started commercial production
1984-1985
Merged our operations in Singapore into our factory at Tuas
1990s
1991-1992
Set up another factory in Johor named MCM
1994-1995
Set up a factory in KL named KMC at the request of Nestle group to support their operations there
1997
MCP Hong Kong along with China subsidiaries were sold to Ball Corporation
2000s
2001-2002
Began our journey into milk powder cans partnering with Wyeth to fully support their new plant in Singapore
2003-2004
Further strengthened our milk powder can capabilities by partnering with Abbott in Singapore
2013
Set up another factory in Iskandar, Johor named MC Nutri and bought over a factory in Harbin, China
2017
Rebuilt our factory in Harbin, China to be equipped with the latest state-of-the-art design and technology
